When You Wish Upon a Star

I am overspent this week so this post probably won’t amount to much but here goes. Let’s talk about celebrity political endorsements since my facebook page runneth over with them. I, for one, don’t need anyone to to tell me who to vote for, especially not a celebrity. I’m happy now I spent all those years in colleges so at least I have a semblence of intelligence. I can’t be swayed as easily as some. How informed are these actors I wonder? Which ones have educations past high school? Those are the ones I might be interested in hearing from. Does anybody really think Miley Cyrus really knows anything about politics? I certainly wasn’t at 18 and I doubt she is either. What’s really unbelieveable are the people that are willing to base their political choices and future on what an an actor or actress thinks. I just watched that profanity laden Samuel L. Jackson video. He used to be one of my favorite actors but I’m not watching him anymore. If you have to make your point with a little girl shouting the F word and have to make your point shouting, then I don’t have time for you. That was disgusting and desperate. These people trying to sway the vote don’t have as much to lose as the next guy. They have their fortunes made while the rest of the population is struggling. They’re not thinking about anything but themselves when they go back to their very exclusive communities. Gwyneth Paltrow is not concerned about the average American when she goes back to her home in London. All she cares about is her next red carpet appearance. Same thing for George Clooney. I didn’t like him in the Facts of Life and I don’t like him now. Beyonce is not wondering how she is gonna pay her bills. She’s too busy chillin’ on her yacht sippin’ champagne. Until these people chip in and help with the deficit, we ain’t got nothin’ to talk about. I’m more inclined to listen to someone like Henry Rollins because he seems to know what he’s talking about alot of the time and I’ve always like him. Anyways, I am not begruding these people their hard earned money. Just in case you didn’t know, they are not in the same boat as everyone else. We are in the dinghy of life. When I see these people out there doing things to change to world like Audrey Hepburn did then they will have more credibilty. They want me to vote for a Chicago thug who has his Black Panthers intimidate people at the polls rather than a rich Mormon that happens to make stupid comments every so often. It’s the actions, not the words that tell you about the character of a man.
