Last night it came about that several states were petitioning to secede from the union and form their own government, my own home state of Louisiana being one of them. If they were to succeed to secede, that would mean we would no longer be the United states of America. What would we call ourselves? The Half States of America. Personally, I don’t see this petition going too far. They need the government’s okay and that will never happen peacefully.We would have to rise up and start a rebellion and honestly, I don’t see it happening. Anyways, heres the article.
I can totally understand people being upset that Obama won re-election but I don’t think this idea is fully baked. Maybe further on down the road when things are really, really bad then it might be neccessary just to survive. Things would have to be dire because I, for one, know that Louisiana is one of the poorest, most mismanaged states there is so I somehow doubt that they could survive on their own. I can’t imagine how many times I have been pissed off with that backwards state. They don’t seem to know their ass from their elbow. Boy, was I glad to get out of there. I’m glad I jumped ship when I had the chance. But it’s still home and I like to visit every now and then.
I was initially surprised when I first heard about New York wanting independence because that state went to Obama. I have no idea why. Like the Kennedys, I guess they just vote Democrat no matter what. I would not be too keen on voting for someone who just used me for a photo op then flew off to a lavish fundraiser while I was wallowing around in the garbage looking for food. I sure would hate to be him when karma turns around and bites him and the Mooch in the butt, and it will. I hear they’re jetting off to Thailand and Burma this time. No doubt this is just the beginning of the many vacations that American taxpayer will have to foot in the next 4 years. Heaven help us.
This whole idea of breaking off from the union is just out of anger for the election. There is no need wasting your time plotting revenge on anyone because people who do wrong will eventually get what’s coming to them no matter who you are or what you are. It always does. When you screw people it’s gonna come back to you. Most people understand this but some people have yet to learn it. What goes around always comes around. I live secure in the knowledge that God is in charge. This has held me in good stead for 39 years.

I just hate dealing with the people in charge there. They are so hard to deal with.
