The Bow

I’ve been looking at pictures of New York and I can’t help but be amazed at the power of Mother Nature. It looks like one big ocean, probably like what it was in the very beginning before man. Interesting thought. NYC and the whole east coast, washed away within hours. Say what you will about Britain’s Daily Mail but they sure delivered. Here is the article. I admit, I didn’t even read it. I figured the pictures said it all. They needn’t have bothered themselves with type. The damage is astounding. According to an article I read, damages are around 20 billion. America just does not have that kind of money anymore. Just a few days ago it was brimming with life, today it’s an underwater shark infested mecca. I just pray for the safety of all those out on the east coast.

People may scoff at the idea that God is pissed but there might be something to it. After all, look what He did to Haiti. I totally believe He destroyed them because of their ongoing devil worship and ritualistic sacrifices throughout their history. He sure is vengeful once you tick him off. He is very, very forgiving but even He reaches his limit. Why do people see fit to mock anyone who dares suggest natural disasters are God’s wrath? They did it to Pat Robertson after the the earthquake in Haiti and I am sure I will be crucified for saying it as well, though that’s just probably a bad choice of words. Pat was the only one ballsy enough to say it even though everyone knew it was true. I don’t often agree with him but I do agree with him on that. I don’t want to come off holier-than-thou because nothing could be further from the truth. Let’s just say God knows how to get our attention and I definitely think that’s what He wanted. And, boy does He have it now. I do think it was a wake up call to Americans but I will let you glean from it whatever you want.

Luckily the storm has passed now, which is signified by a giant rainbow over the NYC skyline. A rainbow symbolizes God’s mercy. The rainbow also appears to remind us of God’s covenent with us and every living creature on the earth that He will never destroy the world again with a flood. Did you know there was no rain until God the he flooded the earth? It’s a scientific fact as well as biblical. Genesis 2:5-6 states “for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth… But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.” In other words there was just a mist to until Noah and his Ark. Lastly the rainbow symbolizes mans reign over the earth and the beginning of Gods. That can only be a good thing. “One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.”  (Rev 4:2-3)

Well, I’m not going to bombard you with any more biblical verses. You either agree with me or you don’t. I am off . I’ll be back later with something a little more Halloween oriented :)

No rain until the great flood? Hard to fathom. And btw, I think God has wiped the slate clean and started over several times in the past. It explains a lot.

He may have wiped some places off the map from time to time but he won’t do it again with a flood. I believe that.
