I’m aware that times change along with the music. Some of it good but most of it bad in my opinion. It’s mostly that hip hop s***t dominating the airwaves. What happened to real singers with real talent? Stevie Nicks comes to mind, so does Juice Newton. Those days are long gone I’m afraid. I find the most irritating of the new breed of entertainers to be Lady Gaga. She was sorta cute and fresh in the beginning with her little space age look going on, reminding me a little of Alison Goldfrapp. I tried but never warmed to her, and I did try to give her a fair shake. The first thing she did to make me dislike her was when she linked herself to Freddie Mercury, an incredibly talented performer, by taking her name from Radio Gaga. Now that song is forever tainted. I know that sounds childish but that’s how it is. Somehow she managed to dominate every form of media where I could not escape. I couldn’t even play Farmville without her avatar cropping up. Then she started to copy Madonna in every way, shape or form just to stay relevant. I noticed immediately since I witnessed MDNA’s rise in the 80′s all the way up to her her making a complete fool of herself on tour this year. An over botoxed 53 year old in a cheerleading costume is never cute. Now we all know whatever happened to Baby Jane. But people, most likely old queens, paid to see her so I’m sure she’s having the last laugh. But back to Gaga….I’ve never seen anyone so obsessed with a person in all my life. Someone please tell her there is only one Madonna and one is enough for anybody. Let’s move on since I don’t want to get into their rivalry anymore. As much as I dislike Gaga and her need for attention ALL the time, I always thought she had an incredible figure. Now she appears to have packed on the pounds and that doesn’t look good stuffed into a meat corset. I don’t like the meat look either – gross. I have been waiting for her to fade into oblivion like I waited for Paris Hilton to do, which she did but an even more revolting Kim Kardashian replaced her. So you have watch what you pray for. I’ve learned that the hard way. I can’t believe I just wrote a whole blog post on Gaga but it’s still better than a Kardasian.
