I’ll be the first one to admit that I am a Facebook addict so I am somewhat biased but am I the only one bored into oblivion by Google+? It’s not exactly the kickin’ party place of the interwebs these days. It’s still more interesting than the ghost town known as Myspace which I visit regularly in order to post my blog. Funny, it was hot for years and went belly up seemingly overnight. It’s where it was about 5 years ago now it’s just barren of any fun sorta like Seattle. Grunge anyone? When you’re hot you’re hot, when you’re not…..I’ve also crossed been on both sides of the spectrum myself.
It’s true, I do have an account for every social network there is but I never could get into most of them. Twitter and micro-blogging come to mind. Maybe I’m old but I just don’t get the whole ‘tweeting’ thing. I do, however, visit daily to keep my social profile current, post my blog and try to get into it a little more. I am willing to give it a chance. I have been willing for 5 years. I remember responding to Danny DeVito a few times simply because he was visiting Germany. I assure you, I wasn’t after his body.
Somehow Twitter seems to cause pain and anguish to celebrities everywhere. Why they continue with it is beyond me. I guess it’s no different than using Facebook aka Drama Central. While I’m not one to float in the Twittersphere or dillydally there, I can’t help but notice everybody hates Colin Quinn. I was too lazy and uninterested to delve into the reasons why. More importantly, where did he come from and how do I know him? He seems to have always been there but I can’t seem to remember anything he’s done. Is he related to Martha? All valid questions. Well, since I’m not a celebrity, I can pretty much Tweet anything I want and it will be ignored. I’m not Leann Rhymes, afterall. From what I read in the news, she calls up people she has a beef with on Twitter. All I need is some squinty eyed bunny-boiler calling me up.
Since Twitter is still relevant, unlike Paris Hilton, I see to it that I keep my profile current. Just like some fluffy friends of mine say, a fat girl gotta eat, I say a girl needs to stay current. Truthfully, I agree with both. So I am off to lead my currently fat lifestyle until the New Year. Then thangs be changin’ round here
