Food For Thought

Brace yourself. It’s gonna be a long night. I’m not sure I can stick it out until 3 or 4 am. I know I’m being over optimistic by saying that I hope we can get this election business over with and I don’t have to hear any more about it. It may be drug out until mid-November. I just want to make the best of the outcome and get on with my life. That’s all I want right now. I am following the election as we speak. Fortunately, I can follow from the comfort of my bed. Thank God for the invention of the laptop.

It seems like it was just yesterday that I had to deal with intense Obamamania. Luckily it’s waned but there are still some for who he can do no wrong. At it’s peak in 2008. The hysteria surrounding Obama threw up a red flag that something was wrong because people don’t usually cry and faint at the sight of a public official. Maybe Michael Jackson or the pope but not a public official. I noticed Obama’s charm right away but I could also see what was under this thin, charismatic veneer and I couldn’t understand why others couldn’t. Like sheep to the slaughter, people will believe anything Obama says. Why? He also gets a free pass with the media. Why? Does this strike anybody else as odd? The constantly gush over him. With the stars in Hollywood it’s the same thing, not that I let any of them sway my vote in any way, shape or form. Still, I find it disturbing. We know almost nothing about this man we have chosen to lead our country, which I find even more disturbing. If he is re-elected we will find out more than we bargained for. Trust me. I’ve even read articles about his plan for 2016, not that I believe everything I read. It’s just some food for thought and you can glean from it what you may. Somebody somewhere has that power to keep him in power. I’m not exactly sure who that is but I fear dark forces are at work. Mark my words. Oh yeah and also mark the time and the date ;)

I can’t fathom people wanting 4 more years.
